From charity golf tournaments and toy drives to food drives and fun run/walks for charity, we’re always up to something that gives back. We’re passionate about supporting local schools with back-to-school fundraisers and arts programs, because we believe in the power of education and creativity.
Our connection to the community doesn’t stop there. We’re all about bringing people together, whether it’s through our top-notch Subaru service center, where we take care of your car like it’s our own, or through our wide range of new and pre-owned vehicles, including certified pre-owned Subarus.
So, dive in and check out the amazing local organizations we support. We’re more than just a dealership — we’re a part of the Orlando family, and we’re excited to share our journey with you. Let’s drive into a better community, together!
One Heart for Women and Children offers vital support to those experiencing homelessness or transitional periods. Through collaborations with community partners and the generosity of donors, they facilitate access to necessities such as food, clothing, educational supplies, personal care products, and various household essentials.
When we first met Stephanie Bowman of One Heart for Women and Children, we knew immediately that hers was an organization worth supporting. Eleven years later, we’re even more in awe of the love and light that One Heart brings to Orlando and all of Central Florida. From food drives, to toy collections, golf tournaments, and more — it’s been an honor to assist One Heart in their mission to bring a sense of hope to those who need it most.
The N.O.W. Matters More Foundation is dedicated to pioneering innovative approaches and strategies in the prevention, education, and treatment of substance abuse and addiction. Utilizing pertinent media platforms, N.O.W. aims to elevate awareness, enhance understanding, diminish stigma, and motivate proactive responses to these challenges.
Unfortunately, those who struggle with addiction are often written off as a “lost cause.” Fortunately, Lui (the Dope Doctor) has brought together local businesses, celebrities, and recovering addicts to break down stigmas, raise awareness, and provide proactive treatment to anyone who needs it. For 2023, NOW Matters More Foundation is our hometown charity selection and the recipient of the 2023 Subaru Share the Love Event funds. In addition, Sport Subaru South has been a longtime sponsor of their annual golf tournament where funds are raised for ongoing efforts.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), a leading nonprofit organization, has been at the forefront of battling blood cancers since 1949. As the largest entity dedicated to eradicating these diseases, LLS has invested over $1.7 billion in groundbreaking research, spearheading numerous innovative treatments. Their global leadership and commitment have made significant impacts in the fight against blood cancer.
Since 2016, Sport Subaru South has partnered with LLS to fight diseases of the blood. In total, Sport Subaru and Sport Subaru South have donated over $200,000 and assisted over 400 families right here in our own Central Florida community! Beyond financial contributions, we’ve had the unique honor of delivering warm blankets and messages of hope directly to cancer patients and their families.
Poodle and Pooch Pet Rescue of Central Florida, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, specializes in rescuing neglected, abused, or medically challenged dogs, often overlooked by animal control. They provide essential veterinary care and place these dogs in loving foster homes until they are ready for adoption into permanent families. Since 2008, the organization has successfully rescued over 5,900 dogs.
Over the past five years, we’ve partnered with Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Central Florida to help find homes for “Leftover” pets that would have little hope of adoption otherwise. Through financial contributions, pet adoption events, and more, we’ve had the honor of helping to save the lives of hundreds of animals — and we aren’t done yet!
Loaves & Fishes plays a crucial role in supporting over 300 low-income families and individuals weekly, offering not just supplemental food but also essential household items, baby essentials, and financial assistance for prescriptions. They also provide daily bagged lunches to approximately 38 homeless people four times a week. Highlighting their community spirit, Loaves & Fishes distributes special holiday food bags, gift cards, chocolates, and new toys during Thanksgiving and Christmas, bringing joy to numerous families and individuals in need.
In 2023, during the Subaru Loves to Help Campaign, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Subaru of American and provide Loaves and Fishes of Apopka with 1,000 pairs of much needed socks. For many of their clients who struggle to keep food on the table, socks are a luxury. This was our opportunity to ensure they don’t have to choose one over the other.
